Mission Partner: BeMe Project

Be Me Project runs courses to enhance positive mental wellbeing and develop better self esteem, confidence and resilience. The  charity supports girls and boys in secondary school and women in the community who are struggling with anxiety, low self esteem or other emotional issues.

Our Head Office is in Dorking and we run small group courses and one-to-one  mentoring in Surrey, Kent and Cumbria. In the last year we have supported 500 people (nearly 200 in Mole Valley, Epsom and Reigate areas). We are currently     running courses in 8 local secondary schools plus courses for women at our Head Office in Dorking and Leatherhead Community Hub.

One student said “On Be Me I started to get more confident about talking about my feelings. I feel a lot happier now and it has helped me a lot with my mental health. Other people have noticed and said I am back to being ME again!”

This year we are planning to significantly grow our services in the Leatherhead and Epsom region and as part of this 5 ladies from the Parish have joined our team and are training as course leaders.

We would like to thank St Giles’ and St George’s for all of the support you have given Be Me in many ways. It has been a great help and encouragement to us.

We would value prayers for:

· each person who we support, that the courses provide a stepping stone towards transformation and enabling people to thrive.

· discernment, energy and resources as we continue to grow as an organisation.
